Women's Forum

Welcome to wisanow.co.nz forum.

We offer a place for women to share life experiences, connect and support one another online.

During the research for our site, we were amazed at what happened when honest sharing took place between women. Everyone benefited. One woman suggested:
"Learn to talk to other women as you will soon discover that there are many others in the same stage in their lives. Keeping things bottled up only reinforces negative feelings about yourself and life.
Have your say - your words may help other women live, survive and thrive." Click the subjects below to view the conversations. Last comment at the bottom.

Greetings WisaWomen!

I would like to introduce you to a great book, My Pilgrim's Heart: A woman's journey through marriage and other foreign lands.

This book sold a thousand copies - its entire first print run - in four weeks and is now in its second print run.

It is the story of one woman's exploration of the deep dynamics of marriage and it will blow you away with its insight and courage.

Journalist Brunette Lenkic said 'This is the book about marriage I’d never read because it hadn’t been written – until now! It is an honest, wrenching and provocative work, a story that resonates, illuminates, teaches and baffles. The sheer beauty of the writing will take you well beyond one woman’s story.'

One man read it three times and pronounced it 'as insightful as the Dalai Lama on a good day'.

And although it can't be said officially, many women have pronounced it 'better than Eat Pray Love'.

'Blows Eat Pray Love out of the water,' said one woman.

My Pilgrim's Heart is available from www.voyagermoon.com.au

Thanks for that Stephanie, I will have a look at it and put it into the Great Reads Sounds very interesting and a subject I'm definitely interested in.
My niece, who is going through a horrendous time with her marriage, enjoyed Eat, Pray, Love so I will tell her about My Pilgrims Heart too.

Sounds great Stephanie. I will definitely look it up.
Another good one is "The Me Myth" by Andrew Griffiths. Not just to do with marriage, but about being happy and making good choices.
