Oh What a Night in Melbourne

'Oh What a Night' the wisanow team visits Melbourne for it's inaugural travel experience.



Eight women who didn't, by and large, know each other.  From different parts of New Zealand and Australia, who had put their hands up to say yes to a weekend in Melbourne to see the musical 'Jersey Boys'. Well, we all knew at least one other person.  But, how amazing it was to find so many common interests.  Shopping - especially shoes, great restaurants, art exhibitions, books and  travelling, just to name a few.


There were no quiet moments as we all drifted off to do our own thing during the day, in pairs or threes, and gathered together at night for drinks and dinner and the show.  Even the fact that no luggage arrived in Melbourne on the flight from NZ didn't cause anything other than a momentary lapse and off we went to find the hotel secure in the knowledge that either the luggage would find us or we would find something wearable in a shop.



The only cause for reflection was where would we go to next.  Thoughts of 'The Pilgrim's Trail', Machu Picu, the 'David Jone's' sales, the list was endless but we decided to wait until after the launch of the website before we put out a bulletin of where to next. I think it was the total freedom to spend hours in an art gallery or the Museum or just wander the shops that was so enjoyable.  Especially with women who had no other aggenda than to simply enjoy the moment. Unanimously it was decided that it was a repeatable experience.  And, of course the show was fabulous because we all knew the words.  Our era of the 60's.
