Cat Crisis at the SPCA Once again in the space of a week the Auckland SPCA has no other choice but to send out an urgent e-mail appeal regarding the number of cats and kittens we need to get adopted. Last week we sent an appeal for help with fostering cats and kittens that were coming in to the village which had a fantastic response but now we are at critical mass with cats and kittens we need to get out and find loving permanent homes for.Our cat / kitten adoption areas are now at full capacity and in some areas seriously overcrowded but we still have more animals all ready to go but we have no space. The SPCA has reduced the price of our cat and kitten adoptions to try and encourage people to come in and adopt some of the beautiful animals but the response has been slower than hoped so once again we are making a plea on behalf of these innocent animals to please find a space in your home for a special friend. These animals are the result of some humans not taking responsibility and an explosion of kittens is the result, each one has it's own personality, sparkling eyes and immeasurable love to give. Should you be considering adopting a cat or kitten please come to the SPCA as your first choice. Every adoption is discounted until the 24th December and every cat or kitten adopted makes a space for another animal and a chance for a better life.Click here to view some of our fabulous felines on our website http://www.spca.org.nz/adoption/adoption_sc_cat.htm Please forward this message to your friends, family and business associates or contacts to help us save the lives of many.
