The hands gave it away...

The face was smooth and firm, the eyes bright with a mischievous twinkle.  The dress stylish and the hair glossy.  Surely she couldn’t be over 50?  Then a glance to the hands gave the game away – sun damage.  Unfortunately hands are often sadly neglected and often show the signs of age when we least want them to!
 
But there are options.  IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a treatment where light is pulsed at the right intensity so it is attracted to the melanin in the dark spots/sun damage.  The area darkens over the next week or so, with a light crust forming.  When the crust peels off the new clearer skin is revealed.  Or many, one treatment is all that is required, while stubborn areas may require additional treatments.
