Cherie explains the story on how this photograph came about: "I took this photo earlier this year while travelling around the North Island of  NZ.   I discovered an amazing very old car junkyard with very old cars from the early days.    After talking with the owner he offered for me to check out his toy collection (about two houses full) and when leaving I was walking past an old car in the junk yard and noticed this little face sitting there looking at me through a clear space of moss on the glass, I opened the door and there was a this forgotten toy from the past- a bright coloured tatty forgotten fella from the past."

What a massive response to this competition.  We really had no idea just how interested 'midlifers' were in photography.
