Every Woman Has a Storyand....sometimes it helps to hear themWe have brought up this subject in response to readers posts/comments over the past year. Some of the stories are enlightening, some motivating and others concerning health issues are downright hard. In a few instances we have been able to put readers in touch with each other to assist in their recovery or give advice and assistance. One story in particular touched a nerve with both Geraldine and I when a woman was forced to give up her career after she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. Another member, who was able to help this woman tells her story of recovery here. NB. It is not the intention of this website to promote the products Deb used but as they are an integral part of her story and any contact to her is to go through her website, we have decided to publish the story in the hope that other women may have similar results to Deb. Deb Bradley explains:In 1995 I was a primary school teacher, when I fell and landed heavily on my back. I went to my doctor who gave me anti-inflammatory drugs and sent me to a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist chased the pain all over my body and found pain everywhere. I spent the next five years being sent from physiotherapists to osteopaths, all of whom could not help the pain. My doctor prescribed more anti-inflammatory (which eventually gave me a stomach ulcer), a morphine based drug which made me sick and didn’t help, sleeping tablets and when really desperate I had pain relief injections. I was taking a cocktail of drugs which left me with ‘brain fog’. The beginnings of depression set in. I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2001 which was a terrible shock for me as my mother had been bedridden with this autoimmune disease for 8 years! I was told there is no drug a doctor can prescribe to cure this condition; all they could offer was pain medication and suggested I get used to living with it. In 2002 my 10 year old son James became very sick, this was subsequently diagnosed as Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. Three generations now had this debilitating condition. In 2007, I was given pharmaceutical grade nutritional supplements to try. I was very hesitant as I was already swallowing so many pills. I did not want to add any more. After I was provided with more key information and facts on the Essentials . I decided to give them a go – I had nothing to lose. After about 2 weeks on the Essentials, I began to feel more alive; my energy levels improved, I wasn’t tiring so easily or needing an afternoon sleep so often, to get me through the day. I was then given more information; in particular the success story about Dr Ray Strands wife who was able to get back riding horses, her passion, after 23 debilitating years with fibromyalgia. Please visit the website www.raystrand.com for specific information about Fibromyalgia. Based on this information I added four more nutritional products to my daily supplementation programme; biomega (fish oils), active calcium, proflavanol (grapeseed extract) and coquinone (co-enzyme Q10). One morning, six weeks later, I woke up having slept all through the night something I had not done since 1995; the muscle spasms had stopped,I felt no pain unless I pressed main pain spots and I felt so much better. In 2008, I travelled to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. I wanted to meet Dr. Myron Wentz and personally thank him for his ground breaking work on cellular nutrition and his products that had helped rid me of fibromyalgia symptoms. When Dr Wentz heard my story he said; “the supplements gave your body what it needed to heal itself so go out and tell everybody”. I decided to do as Dr Wentz suggested as I wanted to help other people to regain their health. Today, I feel great! I am back working, sleep well and have the energy to do whatever I want.
