Armed with the list from the book Charla calls 'brilliant buys', I went to see what works, what doesn't  and as a skeptical brunette who favours more of a reddish hue, to see if pink lipstick really does help compensate for the loss of glow in our complexions as we age.And... the findings are -Guess what? - Pink Lipstick Does Work!! See my favourite below and don't be fooled by the colour* Allowing for the fact that many of the makes detailed in the list are not available outside the U.S., and some of the colour names are different, all the research Charla did to write the list certainly makes it easy when going out to do the exercise. I have found a few online which were not available in NZ stores. In addition, I was given samples of some gorgeous pinks by a local Mary Kay consultant, Trudi Anderson and found the sampling idea really works. Mary Kay lipsticks are about half the price of the main store brands at NZ$29.00 and Trudi like all the consultants will mail out the samples if you are reasonable local so you can try before you buy. Trudi has clients all over NZ and will send you a catalogue. My favourite Mary Kay pinks are in the list below. Trudi's email for this service is:trudi.a@xtra.co.nz Charla suggests using a lip conditioner which I found to be great advice, a lip liner in a complimentary colour and either lipstick or lip gloss. The list below is by no means the entire range listed in the book, however I thought it was best to show what works for me as a brunette then I also tested the colours with a blonde girlfriend and they worked just as well.
