A smattering of Ideas and Iconic Women - compiled by Rae
Of all the fabulously put together fashion icons out there at the moment, I think Ines de la Fressange takes the top prize. Who else puts together such a wide range of styles and colours to create such an inimitable and stylish image. I just can't imagine, how in her mid fifties, she has the courage and foresight to wear together a purple velvet jacket, an embellished pink sweater over a blouse with peter pan collar, a red shiny bag and jeans to create a look that is both stylish and chic. Plus grace the catwalk for many of France's top designers. All in the genetics I guess. Still she would have to be my favourite fashion icon. Enjoy images of Ines below, plus articles on other icons and some great ideas to play with to bring a new look to your wardrobe.
For 53-year-old French model Ines de La Fressange, the chic, breezy, casual way of dressing in mostly slim jeans and flats has become her iconic look. See how she pulls it off and get ideas for your own casual outfits.

The 58-year-old comedienne is armed with a machine gun, a cigar, and army fatigues (what is going on—is this a fashion trend too? ) on the cover of her new book, Roseannearchy: Dispatches From The Nut Farm (Gallery Press).
A self-help guide to fashion over 40

I like to think of us as the self-help generation. From business books like "In Search of Excellence" to Dr. Spock's parenting books – with plenty of Oprah thrown in-between – we've had great self-help resources to turn to when it comes to most of life's questions.
And like it or not, fashion after 40 is full of questions.
So, here, for those of you who want to have an easy guide to how to wear key pieces without looking foolish, is a guide on How to Wear It:
Style is almost never about what you own, it's about how you wear what you own. Sometimes, the slightest tweak can entirely change an outfit and make it look new again. Here are a few easy wardrobe changes you can make!
