Hi Jenny, My daughter has an on line account, www.nuskin.co.nz, Click on sign up, and you can use NZ1534727 as the referring number. Once that is done go to products and choose ageLOC galvanic Spa, then either the spa package which has the spa and products for face and body, or just the spa and the face gels. You will then need to order the gels on an auto order called ADR, then you get them cheaper ($46.55 for 4 treatments). Feel free to call me if it seems difficult. Happy to help. Fiona 09 418 2277, 021 909895. It helps with acne too as well as the general tired look we get as we get a bit droopy. Good luck with that. By the way it comes with an instruction DVD. 2 yr warranty as well.

Love your article on keeping up appearances :). State of mind? perception is reality? I actually give my mother a lot of credit for my fashion sense, desire to keep in good shape and walk tall; doing it for myself and not quietly competing with other women!! mmmm -
.....my mother, Claire Houghton, is nearly 80 and she still has her legs waxed; nails, eye-brows & eye-lashes tinted. She adjusts her eating patterns (we don't use the word "diet" in our family) according to her own chosen "max" weight and has a wonderful sense of humour about the "courage it takes to age with grace while facing the challenges of physical frailty"...... she's had one hip replacement and goes into hospital on Monday for a shoulder operation which will have her dependent on the care of others for 6 weeks. She went out and bought a new nightie and matching dressing gown - wants to look great and feel nice :) . She and Dad swim in the pool, go for walks to the Milford Shops and use the gym. They made the decision a few years ago that they would laugh together at their "forgetfulness" and retain an attitude of gratitude for life - "living life loved"............. they adore young people and their different way of doing things; are well read and have lots of hobbies! Mum still uses her laptop computer and emails people all round the world. A great role model for us baby-boomers who will go even further :) |

Interesting comments. Everyone has to do what is right for them their budget and their circumstances. I am no beauty queen but I feel better when I feel I look good. My "good" might not nearly be up to someone else's standard. Generally it seems to me that it is a very personal thing. My daughters wouldn't even contemplate going without their regular Brazilians!! I don't want to go grey yet. Looking after teeth is high on my list too. Anyway, to let you know what I find great is the home face and body spa, which you can give yourself a facial for about $12. The results are great. You can use it on cellulite and flabby arms too. It takes 5 minutes only. Happy to share info with anyone who wants to know. And just for the record I think guys think about this too.

I learned at a very early age that looks are only skin deep so it's not about keeping up appearances for me, rather I dye my hair out of personal vanity. When I was made redundant, the two things I refused to give up were my facials and hair cuts/colour. Call it what you will, we women should all indulge ourselves in things that make us feel good about ourselves, whatever our age.

Whilst I feel there is too much attention on how one looks in this day of lets erase every wrinkle every grey hair....I intend to maintain my appearance for as long as I can.I try to look the best I can with what I was given. the little things, ensuring my nails are filed and painted, at this stage that means regular manicures maybe in the future that means filing and painting myself/or a family member helping me. Makeup....lipstick always. Brushing my hair .....exercising, walking every day, keeping as active as possible. the aforementioned comments are a given but for me ensuring I continue feeding my brain, reading, learning a new task every yearetc, and giving out to others, thereby feeding my heart, are what I value.

For me, Carol, it's the odd back & neck massage as I seem to carry any stress in my shoulders and if I ignore it end up at the osteopath. Would love to have the money to do the facials etc but minimising pain comes first.
