We Get What We Give

We get what we give -

Pat Armistead - The World's First Joyologist

For over 30 years I have loved and lived to my best ability the adage' be your word"

When I arrived in NZ 12 years ago my first position was with a private training provider. She actually had no PatArmitstead200x300_1.jpgwork and I called in to see her every day for 5 days, being a request for work. Finally in exasperation she said to me " You need to know I have never employed an Australian!"....to which i replied "Well, today could be the day!"

And it was!

She hired me and I arrived day one to downtown Otahuhu to an attendance rate of 35% with outcomes about the same. The process was to send these fairly cold letters, reminding the students of their financial and moral obligations . This was done 3 times then "You're out" was the missive!

After the first month, and signing 150 of these frigid tomes ...I declared I would do no more.

Instead, I went into the classrooms and sat with the students and got to know them. When I knew them well enough I wrote them all a one page letter celebrating their successes and accomplishments. Sometimes they had only achieved say 12wpm typing.....but if you sit with people long enough you find out things...and I was able to honour their path.

Over the 2 years I was there I wrote over 2000 pieces of personalised mail. When I left after 2 years the attendance rate was 95% and so were outcomes !!

I committed at that time I would send 3 pieces of Glad Mail a day, honouring, celebrating, rewarding what I saw in others. In the 10 years since I have sent over 10,000 pieces of mail honouring the path of others. Butt he story does not end there.

On the 20th November 2010 I met a man by the name of Jeff Rasavi. He said to me ... "You are joy? I am happiness!" He is a Grand Master in martial arts and a Spiritual master. The happiness he speaks of is of course the peace that comes from harnessing mind and body.

He said to me I am here to appreciate you. Since that time he has returned to me the same level of honouring communication I have been sending. Never did i think i would have somebody talk to me in this way, nor to maintain it so consistently . His presence has provided another level of certainty for me as of course I have met the mirror of my soul. This is a fine example of what happens when you "be your word"

You will hear this mans name a lot as he is here for a very big purpose, and his presence will enable many others. www.spiritualwow.com
