Got some time on your hands?Got some time on your hands? Realising that I was often in a state of panic about how much I have to do and so little time to do it in, made me realise how much time I spend worrying how little time I have. I also realised how often I, dare I say it…procrastinate! There I said it. I fluff around, fiddle, make excuses not to deal with the stuff I need to get onto, and then suddenly I realise there is a huge amount to deal with and as if I need the pressure to perform suddenly knuckle down and mow through the mountain of accumulated paperwork. It is as if I need to create pressure to make it happen.I live with endless, constantly growing lists, and juggle a many tasks wearing many hats. Mom, wife, daughter, aunt, cook, coach, artist, writer, shopper, driver etc. I sometimes find it very overwhelming and sometimes very stimulating and fulfilling. One of the greatest gifts was discovering coaching and seeing it work in my life, bringing in order and balance to a somewhat chaotic mind. I’m always growing and learning but it is exciting and always fun. This week I share this with you because I would like to give you a clear idea of the benefits of what I do and how it can assist you, check out my blog on www.life-in-perspective.com Being constantly on the go, always full of ideas, always busy on one project or another, it has been a huge learning curve to come to New Zealand and be in such a different culture, living at a much slower pace, it has been a challenge to slow down and relearn how to stop and smell the flowers, see the rainbows, go for a walk in the middle of the day, change your rhythm and flow in a totally different way. I am still learning, still creating pressure and panic by procrastinating from time to time, I realise it is a throw back to my old life, I lived on adrenalin for 40 years, its pretty addictive! What do you do that sabotages your success, your peace? What do you need that will create some balance in your life? Are you focused and clear about your future? Do you recognise what you nee more or less of? How do you see yourself coping? Do others have the same picture of you? Ask! What is the vision you have of your perfect day? I keep looking for a better way forward, I don’t always get it right, but I keep checking what is working and what is not. I keep refining it and changing it. In time I do hope for perfection but on the basis that I’m just human, I will settle for great improvement and I do know the impact of that means I will start feeling more relaxed in all areas of my life, I see it happening on the days I get it right.
