The Designer:

JOSS is the creation of designer Joss Hong, who was born and raised in New Zealand to Chinese parents.
Joss' Asian / Pacific heritage forms a strong foundation for the JOSS collection. She also credits her inspiration to time spent living in London, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, and Italy, and going to Art School in Barcelona, where she was able to fully explore her passion for designing and crafting contemporary jewellery.
There is no doubt that Joss's background, personality and outlook is directly reflected in her work. Her innovative designs not only echo cherished symbols and values from the past, they are a highly original form of wearable art that celebrates life in a new yet timeless way.

The JOSS logo is an abstract figure 8, formed by two circles. 8 is significant within Asian culture as it sounds similar to the Chinese word for rich, prosper or wealth. Circles are also considered powerful symbols, as they signify fulfillment and completeness.
All these qualities and attitudes form the essence of JOSS, and when you wear, give or receive any piece from this stunning jewellery collection, it is intended that a large part of this ethos will travel with you.
