About Carmel:

Carmel Murphy is passionate about helping others less fortunate.   For the last four years, Carmel has worked with not-for-profits and charities such as Dress for Success, Age Concern & BACI Charitable Trust, utilising her networking contacts to create events that have a wow factor and give back to the needy.  Attendees to her events feel rewarded & humbled when they are treated to an evening of entertainment, sometimes educational, knowing that in some small way they are also contributing to society at large.

She runs a very successful networking business which helps people starting out in business by making the most of introductions, giving tips on how to network effectively & connecting business owners with other likeminded individuals.  These tools assist her to think outside the square and make the most of every opportunity.

Previously, Carmel has facilitated several charity fundraising events that empower women by providing them with tools to learn and grow.  Another event has included Dr Sharad Paul, a plastic surgeon, lecturer, author, cafe/bookstore owner and philanthropist who was one of four nominated for New Zealander of the Year in 2010 & 2011.  Attendees heard his plans for the future of our children by helping put much needed books in decile one & two schools throughout Auckland, NZ and the world.  As well as that, Carmel had huge success with a charity event that incorporated the book launch of David Hartnell’s most recent book, Memoirs of a Gossip Columnist.

Now, she would like you to come and join her at “An Evening with Peta Mathias” on Tuesday 8th November in Parnell.  It will be the perfect opportunity to network, hear Peta share her passion for writing & food as well as sample some of New Zealand’s delicious food and wine, all with the knowledge that proceeds from the evening will be going to charity.

Carmel lives by her all time favourite quote from Tom Morris –“Success is about who you are, not what you have.  Successful people work to discover their talents, to develop those talents, and then to use those talents to benefit others as well as themselves”- and she would like to share that philosophy with you so come along and be part of it!
